I'm Sandy. When I was still a teenager, I would collect recipes of various desserts and cakes even though I did not have an oven at home. Ever since I got myself an oven, my pile of recipes increased and I began to spend more and more time baking, especially in the past few years. Though mainly self-taught, I attended a number of baking classes to improve my techniques and skills because I believe that baking is a constant journey of learning.
Even though I held a full-time job for almost a decade, I found myself constantly thinking about new recipes to try, or coming up with ideas on how to decorate cookies and cakes for my family and friends. I realised that what satisfies me is hearing compliments for my creations and seeing that people enjoy my baked fruits of labour.
I personally believe that desserts always bring a smile and no matter how pretty or beautiful, they are meant to be eaten at the end of the day. It is important that everything that comes out of my oven taste good. I remind myself to be happy whenever I bake, because the happiness or unhappiness can show in the end result.
So, that's how Happy Bakes is born, with nothing but an interest and passion in baking, and I look forward to your utmost support! 🙂
